MTI Budi Utomo Gadingmangu

MTI is a community created to accommodate Gadingmangu students who want to master English, whether in speaking, writing, or reading. MTI under Budi Utomo Gadingmangu educational foundation, Budi utomo is a school which was founded in Gadingmangu. MTI stands because some effort people who have a belief that a male or female students at schools gadingmangu would be very interested to join in the MTI, despite the Indonesia people has not been much interested to master English. MTI stands for the idea of one or two man which are planning a special class using English. The idea of English class came after they set up a class that uses Javanese language, that is native language of  people from East Java including Jombang. This language always learned and They made a class is to preserve their language, at that time had many young people in Gadingmangu who already do not know how to speak javanese correctly it'a funny thing there are people of Java, living together with their parents are also native of Java but they do not know how speak Javanese grammatically. Finally a class that uses Javanese language is established.

At the beginning of the founding of Java classes, then there may be 1-2 people planned the establishment of a class in the allotment for students who want to learn and master the English language.  Shortly the special class for English directly founded and running. When both classes went according to the plan of the founders, seen difference in the number of students who take the class, the Java class lot more than English class, but it is only temporary. A few days after the two-class runs, there was an oddity in the Java class, the students who attend  Javanese classes less and less. But something good happened in english class, in the begining not many student interested in this class after a few days the student increasing more and more everyday This went on in a couple of days, Javanese class followers decreases, Javanese class student decreases everyday t but the English class always increase. And after a few weeks later when the Javanese class in the survey apparently losing pupils in other words almost all gadingmangu students did not interest in the Java language class at that time in the javanese classroom was seen a teacher and a student only, it is very concernthe english class is very different after a few weeks, the participants that very little before but after a few months they are difficult to count. With this event the foundation is gadingmangu decided to eliminate the Javanese class foe a while and develop English class that already looks great and many Gadingmangu students interested in.

English class was not have a name yet. They do not specify the name and they usually just called English class. Then some teacher educators often refer to this class as the others, they call the MTI this name are taken from Indonesian "Muballigh tugasan internasional" in English it means "the teacher of the world", which means a teachers are ready to teach all over the world because of mastering english.
At that time MTI has not been officially as the name of this class. Each year, this class participants grew and finally MTI becames the official name of the english class. Due to the follower of this English class growing number so it made ​​some more classes to accommodate the students, at the begining MTI had only one class but now MTI has many class

MTI is a program conducted outside the school program, which is an additional program that specialize for students who are interested and want to master English in Gadingmangu. MTI conducted outside of school time the program start in the evening when sundown and fairly short duration, which started at about 19:00 to 20:10 or until the Adhan isyak. when MTI was popular in Gadingmangu and becomes bigger, the MTI began to organize new events that is comparative studies in some places,after the class running long enough eventually good idea appear from some teachers and MTI participants they planned tours to Bali. Because they want to know the results of what they have learned, including the ability of speaking, listening, especially when speaking with native speakers directly and they've never done this before, so the tour to bali is the solution to meet english native speaker. Until now, Bali is still a popular tourist spot for people outside of Indonesia so that there are many native speakers who come in bali, from Australia, America, and even Europe and other countries. At that time the tutors planned tour to Bali and stay there a few days because their purpose to meet some tourists and asked them to speak in English, so it takes more than one day. Currently, tour to bali activities are specific routines MTI participants, will be undertaken by the end of the school year and they usually stay approximately 3 to 4 days.

Gadingmangu MTI goal is one, it is to educate the students to be students with extra ability in languages the international language especially English. Though the duration of time to meet with the teachers are very short but their daily activities are very supporting in mastering the English quickly. they are in a room and talk everyday in English, its necessary not everyone allowed speak indonesian. Not only that the students who had been in "bali class" (this is a class name for students who are ready to go to Bali and their daily lessons, only about speaking)  they also are given the right to teach new students in MTI, so they could study how to teach  they are given the right to teaching the new students This is the key to success Gadingmangu students in mastering English. That's why Gadingmangu students successfully in mastering the English.

Haorpon Gadingmangu

 Recent activities Gadingmangu always be a news awaited by the alumni who are spread across Indonesia. As usual Gadingmangu always create new events to enhance the spirit of their students. At the end of  2011 Gadingmangu made an event which was named HAORPON. HAORPON is an abbreviation of "HAri OlaRraga PONdok" it's a sentence taken from Indonesian, in english  the sentence could mean "boarding school sports day in Gadingmangu". if viewed from the name HAORPON is a day for the sport in Gadingmangu boarding school, but in fact this is not just regular sports day because in Gadingmangu available many areas for exercise that facilitated by the Gadingmangu village Governing so students who want to exercise they very flexibility in choosing their preferred sport. in Gadingmangu Almost all kinds of sports facilities are available free of charge, such as: basketball, badminton, takraw (a mix between football and volleyball), fitness area, and even indoor soccer field that totally free, and they can use the facility above whenever there is free time or holidays. HAORPON different from the above sports activities because haorpon have different intents and purposes, certainly when viewed from names such as regular exercise but more than sports because HAORPON followed by all students of the boarding school Gadingmangu together with the teachers used to give knowledge to them. HAORPON has many purposes, the main goal is to increase the familiarity of the teachers with the students in Gadingmangu.

In the beginning HAORPON was made to introduce the young teachers and new teachers to the students, It was held after the walk together. Usually held in the grounds or in the building of Gadingmangu boarding school that began with the opening of the presenters and continued by a speech from the coach or the head of the Gadingmangu boarding school, there are usually some additional events or distraction and before the end of the event, was introduction of young teachers or new to the the students.

In the last few months in 2012 HAORPON better known as the interesting event or be a good entertainment for male and female students Gadingmangu because the show is more interesting than ever. HAORPON usually carried on in the fifth or once in five month on last Sunday. In 2012 HAORPON more distinct in terms of events and more attractive. This is a photo Gadingmangu students who were out of the Luhur mosque courtyard. women students usually go first and then followed by the male students. usually the route past 3 to 4 neighboring villages. several neighboring villages that usually used as the route are Kalangan ,Pedes, Sembung, Plumpung those are the name of Gadingmangu neighboring villages

Haorpon participants usually walk a few kilo meters towards the north of Gadingmangu village and then at the half way usually they have a rest in a few minutes and eat some snack and some water that is given by commission, but they will not rest for too long because there's a next event will be held

In september 2012, haorpon activity is very different from previous Haorpon. Usually they continue walking as son as after the break and enjoy a snack that had been given by their committee, they usually return to the basketball court where they go at the beginning, but this time is different, they not continue walking, they not return to the starting place they even put up the stage and sound system. Final event of Haorpon usually held in the building or on the basketball court that is next to the Luhur nurhasab mosque but the committee makes a new atmosphere they hold the last event of Haorpon outdoor. the event was held at the stage was door prize event so for anyone who's lucky will receive prize.

Gadingmangu boarding school established in 1951 and inauguration in1952, gadingmangu boarding school has a long history, some I have written on the title of the post a brief history of GadingMangu. It's a boarding school located in Gadingmangu Village in Jombang. Gadingmangu boarding school divided into 2 place and with different name because of the location of different places, The first building called Gama1 and second one called Gama2
1. gama 2 is short for Gadingmangu2 located close to the Luhur nurhasan mosque and this boarding school (Gama 2) is only accepting or only able to accommodate male students, Gama2 can accommodate about 800 Students. Gama2 divided into 2 buildings commonly known by building A and building B

2. Gama1. this boarding school was named to the gama1 because was established first before Gama2. Gama1 formerly known as "Gadingmangu boarding schools"  because no Gama2 at the moment, then after the second boarding school built  to make it easier called with Gama1, and the second building is called the Gama2. Gama1 located on the north of the Luhur mosque, approximately 300m from Gama2, Gama 1 was alongside Antiq mosque  that is the first mosque built in the Gadingmangu village. Gama 1 is also divided into two parts: the first building for female students people used to call "Gama1 puteri", and the second one for the male students and better known as "gama1 putera". Gama1 puteri  used to only be occupied and entered by the female students, male of the students entered is prohibited. Gama 1 puteri can accommodate about 300 Students every year. and for gama 1putra can accommodate more than 300 Students every year  not as much as the number of male students in the Gama2 the capacity of this boarding school is 2 fold more because 2 building only contain male student, If counted all the students gadingmangu from both places and gama2 gama1 totaled 1400.

actually number of male and female students who come to study at the Gadingmangu boarding school more numerous of the number mentioned above. In every new school year in Gadingmangu, the number of students who come to the village of gadingmangu always expand and grow, at least there are 70% Students rejected for study in gadingmangu every year. This is not because Gadingmangu selecting strictly to the students or female students who wish to enter the boarding school in Gadingmangu, but the cause is insufficient, so that the students who arrived later did not have a place to stay while studying or the quota is met. Because there is no place to accommodate students then they had to to go back home. some of students in gadingmangu are choose not to be at the pesantren place although at the same purpose, in other words they rented room in a house owned by local people and they are willing to pay the appropriate fee as specified by the owner of the house, this cost usually in combination with the cost of meals every day. live outside the boarding school or called rented room, this happens because the space provided at the pesantren place is full so that it becomes an alternative and they can still take part as is generally the students in boarding school.

Gadingmangu is the most boarding school enjoy by the alumni who have been stay in Gadingmangu few years, compared with to other pesantren this is proved by the alumni who had left the Gadingmangu
, When they moved to another pesantren in order to continue and deepen they knowledge, after they moved in the pesantren they feel its difference with boarding school in Gadingmangu. Some of them say "I miss the atmosphere of Gadingmangu" and some of them when home sickness they say "I do not feel at home in this pesantren I feel like going to Gadingmangu". Though Gadingmangu not their home, but when they home sickness, they remember about Gadingmangu. It is a fact, which are said by some of my friends who had been living in boarding school of Gadingmangu.

Gadingmangu has been around since the 1952 And has graduated thousands and even hundreds of thousands of students.The students have spread throughout homeland of Indonesia and even foreign countries. Gadingmangu boarding school has a commitment to educate their students in order to become a professional in every way and have good character or moral so that the students always accepted by society, in fact they are the preferred by people from other countries because of their mind and character and has always respectful of others and so many alumni who excel in a particular field. Graduates of Gadingmangu many who work and become an important person in another State because, the boarding school of gadingmangu also provided supplies foreign language to the students, especially english special even English, they provide the media and special community with hope "any students who take this course can master english". This is what makes the alumni of Ponpes Gadingmangu always ready to Go international. And has been proven many alumni who are abroad even they become a resident of that Country. Gadingmangu boarding school Alumni has spread in 32 Countries, include: Australia, America and some other country.

This year (2012) gadingmangu boarding school has been visited by 4000 of  prospective students, but the amount can only be received is 1400 students so that about 2600 not able to live and study in Gadingmangu boarding school and they had to return home with disappointment but most of them chose stay in gadingmangu to study in other word they find a homestay, live with the owner of the house. therefore the boarding school of Gadingmangu started and are already making plans to expand the education in order to accommodate the students who want to study in Gadingmangu and treat the disappointment of the candidates that have been rejected. In 2012 Gadingmangu have started setting up new buildings, and located not far from the buildings that already are.
